Hollywood Jem Part Two
And The Winner Is...
Written by Roger Slifer
The Holograms go to pick out a bridal gown for Kimber's wedding. Sean is brought to the hospital after trying to do his own stuntscenes to prove to
Kimber that he's as exciting as Jeff. The 60th Annual Academy Awards is coming up, where Jem will find out whether or not she is a winner of the
award for best actress in a leading role.
Characters:
Jem/Jerrica and the Holograms, Synergy, Rio, Lin-Z, Starlight Girls
(Ashley, Ba Nee, Krissie, Terri, Lela, Joellen), Anthony, Jeff, Sean, Lena Learner, Dominic Learner,
Flint Westwood actor, Geraldine Pathos actor, Sigourney Reaver actor, Meryl Saint actor, Nurse.
Songs:
"Tomorrow Is My Wedding Day" Jem and the Holograms
"Happy Ever After" Jem and the Holograms
"Hollywood Jem" Jem and the Holograms
Other notes:
Jerrica thinks Kimber is making a mistake marrying Jeff.
There is a gym inside Starlight Mansion, with a sign on the door saying "Gym".
Aside of being a stuntman, Jeff seems to be a pretty good gymnast.
There are calendars in the music video of "Happy Ever After" with the years 1988-2000.
Jerrica is hinting to Rio that she wouldn't mind getting married, but Rio doesn't seem
up to it.
The limousine that picks up Jem and the Holograms says "4JEM" on the license plate.
This the 60th Annual Academy Awards, in reality it was held 1988, which is the year
this episode was aired.
Signourney Reaver is playing in a movie called "Poltergeist Aliens Part 4", Meryl Saint
in "Victims of Vietnam", Geraldine Pathos in "Heartland of the Homeless".
There is some reused animation from Starbright Part 3.

The Stingers Hit Town Part One
Written by Christy Marx
Eric has had enough of the Misfits' mischief making, and leaves Misfits Music, determined to come back as the boss or not at
all. Lindsey Pierce calls Jerrica with a hot tip, there's a new group just in from west Germany, the Stingers, they're looking to sign with
a major US record label. Jerrica and Kimber go to watch them play at Le Klub Kool, and so does Eric.
Characters:
Jem/Jerrica and the Holograms, The Misfits, The Stingers, Rio, Eric, Lin-Z,
Harvey, Joanie.
Songs:
"Stingers Theme" The Stingers
"Like A Dream" Jem and the Holograms
"Perfect Match" The Stingers
Other notes:
The Misfits apparently behave like rockstars when they stay at hotels.
Until this episode, Eric owned a beach house in Malibu. Since this episode Eric owns
nothing but half of Stingers Sound.
In this episode, Starlight Music's overall financial condition is good, but most of the
profits Jem and the Holograms make, have been going into the Starlight Foundation.
The Stingers came straight from West Germany to play at Le KLub Kool.
There is an issue of Cool Trash that has the Stingers on the cover.
The Stingers are the biggest thing to hit town in years.
Jem and the Holograms are honored at the Rock Hard cafe as their guitar joins their
hall of fame in recognition of their contribution to rock music.
Jem is the most perfect woman Riot has ever seen, and Riot thinks that the Holograms are all as
beautiful as their music. Jem, Kimber and Raya are all attracted to Riot.
Minx thinks Rio is twice the fun, because she can steal him from two women, Jerrica and
Jem.
Riot says he went to high school with Minx in west Germany, his father was
stationed there with the army. So apparently west Germany is where Minx is from. This does not
fit in well with the story told by Riot in the episode "Riot's Hope", but then again, this episode
was written by Christy Marx, so this is the correct version.
The song "Like A Dream" by Jem and the Holograms is re-used. Previously appeared in the episode
"The Disaster".

The Stingers Hit Town Part Two
Written by Christy Marx
While the Stingers make their decision about what record label to sign with, they have been invited by Jerrica to stay in the
Starlight Mansion, and by Eric to stay in the Gabor estate. Minx decides they should go with Eric. Pizzazz isn't happy about
the news, until she meets Riot.
Characters:
Jem/Jerrica and the Holograms, the Misfits, the Stingers, Rio, Eric,
Starlight Girls (Ashley, Ba Nee, Krissie, Terri, Anne, Nancy), Harvey's butler.
Songs:
"Lovesick" The Misfits
"Take It Or Leave It" The Stingers
"Now" Jem and the Holograms/The Stingers/The Misfits
Other notes:
Rio thinks he's the perfect man and Jem is the perfect woman.
Rio thinks Minx is beautiful, but he's not interested.
Jem appreciates that Riot likes her mystery, which Rio doesn't.
There is a butler at Gabor mansion.
With Pizzazz chosing Riot instead of the Misfits, all four members have been in and out
of the Misfits.
The Stingers don't like signing autographs.
Riot is a perfectionist and won't wear an outfit with the slightest spot.
Minx thinks Krissie has no talent in painting. Rapture thinks Terri is gullible and silly.
Jerrica owns Starlight Music on her own, Kimber owns nothing of it. Atleast according to Raya who
says to Jerrica that it's her company and her decision. This doesn't correspond with what is said
in the episode "The Bands Break Up" where Jerrica says that Kimber owns half of Starlight Music.
Riot knows that Eric is completely untrustworthy and he doesn't like or trust Eric, but
he thinks he can control him.
Minx also plays guitar.

Video Wars
Written by Cary Bates and Greg Weisman
Clash disguise herself as a film student called Sara, who needs an A on her final project to be eligable for the schoolarship she need to
get into filmschool. She begs Jem and the Holograms to take her along on their three day tour, to film a documentary on what it would be
like to go on the road with Jem. Clash plans to gather material for the worst Holograms video the world has ever seen, to put Video out
of business, and ruin Jem and the Holograms once and for all. She is going to secretly substitute the video for Video's new Holograms video in time for the live TV premiere on saturday night. If the plan
succeeds, Pizzazz has promised Clash to be the fifth Misfit.
Characters:
Jem/Jerrica and the Holograms, The Misfits, Rio, Lin-Z, Video, Clash, Danse,
Techrat, Starlight Girls (Ashley, Krissie, Ba Nee, Becky), Glenn.
Songs:
"Like A Dream" Jem and the Holograms
"One Of Those Days" Jem and the Holograms
"The Last Laugh" Jem and the Holograms
Other notes:
Different animation.
The magazine Cooltrash is mentioned.
Shana and Krissie are helping Video editing her videos.
According to Video, she has a hard time keeping up with
herself. She feels she has to make every clip better than
the last one. That's what record companies, rock stars and
the public expects.
Jem and the Holograms have a tourbus, which they take when
they're going on tour, and Rio drives. There are only seats,
no beds or anything.
Clash disguises herself again.
There is a gym at Starlight Mansion.
Jerrica calls Aja stubborn and unreasonable.
Clash is amazed that Jem looks great even at 5 am.
Aja is able to hear Synergy's voice through Jerrica's
earring when Synergy is talking to Jerrica. So apparently
Synergy can be heard by people standing close to Jerrica.
This is atleast the fourth time that Kimber's keyboard breaks.
It also happens in the episodes "The Beginning", "The Bands Break Up",
and "Rock N' Roll Express". Only one of the times she does it herself though.
There's a lion named "Simba", it is Swahili for "lion".
Clash is close to becoming a Misfit, but also an honorary Hologram.
Jetta gets her own dress in the same fashion that the
Misfits has, which has appeared in several episodes before
Jetta first appeared.
Jem has a fashion resembling a fashion from Like A Dream video
in the Truly Outrageous five parter. But now it's yellow instead of light blue.
The video Last Laugh has clips from several earlier episodes.
"The Jem Jam Part 1", "Aztec Enchantment", "Last Resorts" and "Hot Time In Hawaii".
The song "Like A Dream" by Jem and the Holograms is re-used. Previously appeared in the episode
"The Disaster".

Beauty And The Rock Promoter
Written by Clare Noto
Red Johnny Mack owes alot of people alot of money, so he makes up that he is going to produce a rockopera in
London of Beauty and the Beast, with Jem as beauty. Luckily for Mack, Jem and the Holograms thinks it
looks like a first class show and accepts this updated version. Much to Rio's objection, Jem is getting very
curious who the beast is, since she has never seen her wonderful co-star without his costume.
Characters:
Jem/Jerrica and the Holograms, The Misfits, Rio, Eric,
Starlight Girls (Ashley, Ba Nee, Krissie, Deidre), Zero Jones,
Red Johnny Mac, Rodney and the Rockets, Harold,
Yoji Yokomura, beauty's father, delivery man.
Songs:
"You'll Never Win My Love" Jem and the Holograms
"Let Me Go" Jem and the Holograms/The Beast
"Our Love Makes You Beautiful" Jem and the Holograms
Other notes:
There's a poster that says "A Jean Cocteau presentation, Beauty
and the Beast".
Jerrica takes one hour to read the script sent by Red Johnny
Mac, and then she says she thinks "we" should do it, without
asking the Holograms.
When Red Johnny Mac kisses everyone's hands Rio says "I'm
surprised he didn't kiss my hand". Rio calls Mac a "little rat".
Eric is worried that Jem and the Holograms will be
internationally famous, which suggests they aren't already.
Jem and the Holograms take some very funny pictures to promote
the rock opera. One with mugs on their heads.
Instead of a rose, the father in the play steals an electric guitar.
The Holograms are very good att playing bad sisters, and they
very much resemble the Misfits.
"Beauty" is the actual name of the character in this play, while
in the real plays her name is "Belle".
Rio is jealous of a character, the Beast. Jem even points this
out to Rio, and asks him about it.
Jem, in the role of Beauty, says to the Beast that she misses
her boyfriend. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the original
play she doesn't have a boyfriend.
We get to hear a new singing voice of the Beast.
Mac doesn't like the Misfits, neither does Harold.
Jem puts on a fashion which she never actually wore herself
before, only Clash wore it when she was pretending to be Jem in
the episode "On Jem Too Many".
Roxy and Pizzazz are pretty bad actors, but then again they only
had a short time to learn the script.
The way the Beast mask comes off the actor in the song "Our Love
Makes You Beautiful", seems hard to explain, it transforms bit by bit.
For once the Misfits didn't have to screw things up for Jem, but
were asked to replace Jem.

The Day The Music Died
Written by Roger Slifer
Jerrica has been under alot of pressure lately. Riot invites Jem to a cruise to Mexico, before she is able to turn him down they have set
sails. Now Jem is gone, and without their leadsingers the Holograms, Rapture and Minx can't put on a new concert or cut a new record. To
be able to support the Starlight Girls, Kimber is forced to sell Starlight Music to Pizzazz's father. And since the Holograms, Rapture and Minx are under contract, they are all forced to join the Misfits.
Characters:
Jem/Jerrica and the Holograms, The Misfits, The Stingers, Rio, Eric, Lin-Z,
Starlight Girls (Ashley, Ba Nee, Krissie, Deidre, Terri, Lela, Anne, Marianne, Joellen,
Becky, Nancy, Delaree), judge.
Songs:
"Under My Spell" The Stingers
"Top Of The Charts" The Misfits
"All's Right With The World" Jem and the Holograms
Other notes:
The Jem theme is stopped in the middle by Kimber who has a message.
One of the frames that are seen for less than a second says things like
"Universal Leader", "Picture", "Reel No", "Color", "Length", "Roll", "Subject", "Splice"
and other things.
Kimber admits she sometimes takes things a little too personally.
Regine is mentioned in this episode, which means this episode takes places after
"Straight From The Heart" where Regine is introduced.
When Raya joined Jem and the Holograms it was the happiest day of her life.
Jem bets on number 22 on the roulette table. Maybe her lucky number?
The Misfits apparently rather let the Holograms and Rapture and Minx join the Misfits
than Clash.
When joining the Misfits, The Holograms are using their outfits from when they
played the mean sisters in "Beauty and the Rock Promoter".
Kimber Benton has her own office with a sign on her door at Starlight Music.
Kimber is not afraid of heights.
Kimber, Aja and Rio can't recognize Jerrica's handwriting.
Harvey Gabor owns Starlight Music in this episode. Harvey is acting pretty cold
towards Kimber when she is about to loose everything in court. Even though Kimber and
Harvey got along pretty well in the episode "Father's Day" also written by Roger Slifer.
Riot thinks he's smarter, stronger and more clever than Rio by far.
Minx sees Riot as her guru and inspiration. Ever since Rapture first laid eyes on
Riot she knew they belonged togheter (not in a romantic way of course).
We get to see a glimpse of Starlight Music's address
on the postcard when Rio holds it. It says 1848 Brook, Los Angeles, Ca..., 90015
The Misfits actually rename Starlight Music, to Misfits Music.
Pizzazz is on the cover of a magazine called "Pop-Time". Jem is on the cover of
magazines called "POP!", "ROCK-OUT", "Starscene" and "VID".
The song "All's Right With The World" by Jem and the Holograms is re-used. Previously
appeared in the episode "The Talent Search Part 2".

The second episode about magic, the previous one was "Music Is Magic".
We get to learn some interesting facts about Harry Houdini.
Astral's teacher was a student of Houdini. Astral has performed magic since
she was a little girl.
Riot thinks the Stingers is probably the best rockband of the 20th century.
Mrs. Farnsworth is another person except for Jerrica, that doesn't fall for Riots charm.
Techrat does't mind when Minx touches him, he even takes her hand in his.
Rapture actually admits that she put on a hoax.
The song "She's Got The Power" by Jem and the Holograms is re-used. Previously appeared in the
episode "The Battle Of The Bands".

Straight From The Heart
Written by Buzz Dixon
Danielle introduces the new fashion designer Astral to Jem and the Holograms, who hire Astral to design their fashions for their

Danielle, Harriet, Danielle's butler.
Songs:
"It Depends On The Mood I'm In" Jem and the Holograms
"All In The Style" The Stingers
"Straight From The Heart" Jem and the Holograms
Other notes:
Regine is a big fan of Jem and the Holograms, she has all their albums and videos. The
best thing that ever happened to her was when Jem and the Holograms asked her to design
their clothes for their upcoming tour.
Regine is young and had alot of success very quickly, and according to Danielle she needs
to learn some discipline.
Rio is interested in fashion.
Shana thinks Regine's designs are fabulous and beautiful, and Regine loves Shanas design.
Regine's mother makes hand printed fabrics.
The Stingers have their album on a CD, this was pretty early for CD:s.
Danielle has a butler.
Regine admires Yaki's fashions.
Here Harriet's last name is spelled with an "E" at the end, but in earlier episodes there
is no "E".
Minx consider's the Holograms "the enemy".
The Stingers were planning a saturday morning TV show, but Riot decides to cancel it
when the network wants his character to be more likeable.

A Change Of Heart
Written by Christy Marx
Minx has a change of heart after being saved from drowning by Rio, and is determind that from this day on she will make up for all the
hard times she has ever been giving Jerrica, Rio, Jem and the Holograms and the Starlight Girls. But even then Minx manage to cause
some trouble.
Characters:
Jem/Jerrica and the Holograms, The Misfits (Pizzazz, Stormer, Jetta) The Stingers,
Rio, Eric, Lin-Z, Clash, Mrs. Bailey, Starlight Girls (Ashley, Ba Nee, Krissie, Deidre, Terri,

Songs:
"Outta My Way" The Misfits
"Are You Feeling Alright?" The Stingers
"Too Much" Jem and the Holograms
Other notes:
At this time 4MB of memory for a synthesizer was considered alot.
Riot thinks Minx is strong, arrogant and confident.
Minx thinks she can get any man. Rio is the only man Minx hasn't been able to hook.
Minx has been building synthesizers since she was 14 years old, she is better than Rio at
synthesizers.
Minx has a car with the license plate that says "IWILBGD" as in "I will be good" maybe. It also
says California which yet again confirms that these groups live in Los Angeles California.
Riot's grandfather was a welsh coalminer.
Apparently the kitchen of Starlight Mansion is on the first floor.
The code used to turn off the burglar alarm at Starlight Mansion is 1534 and on is 6717.
The song "Outta My Way" by The Misfits is re-used. Previously appeared in the episode

Riot's Hope
Written by Roger Slifer
Riot goes back to visit his parents whom he hasn't seen since he left the military for his rockband Nirvana. Riot's father who still can't
accept that rocksinger as a job, starts another fight with Riot, which leads to that Riot's mother faints and is taken to the
hospital. Riot tells Jem the story of his tough past.
Characters:
Jem and the Holograms, The Stingers, Lin-Z, Video, Danse, Sean,
Harriet, Limp Lizards, Ron Cox, Lena Learner, Johnny Deacon, Riot's father,
Mildred Riot's mother, Connie Long reporter at channel 82, Nirvana (Minx, Jerry, Riot), nurse.
Songs:
"Take It Or Leave It" The Stingers
"It's A Hard, Hard Life" The Stingers
"Let Me Be" The Stingers
Other notes:
All the facts about Riot and the Stingers in this episode doe not correspond with
other episodes written by Christy Marx, or the Jem bible.
Riot's father is reading a newspaper called "Los Angeles Daily News". One of the headlines
are "Middleeast heats up".
The Stingers first album was called "Hit Town!"
With all the characters being at the Stingers album release party, strangely the
Misfits aren't there, although they're at the same record company and Pizzazz oughta
love to be there.
Rapture didn't know Riot had a father.
According to Riot's father, he wanted a nice peaceful happy family, and for years they
had that. They used to take rides in the country, take picnics, they behaved like a
family. Everything was fine until Riot got interested in music.
Jerrica and Emmett were always very close.
Riot didn't feel he was entitled to have an opinion for his father.
Riot's father spanked him when Riot's mother was teaching Riot to play the piano.
Riot's father thinks playing instruments is for women and sissies. Riot's father was
determined that Riot would never be a musician, and that he would join the army instead.
Riot played both piano and guitar as a young boy. His music was the only thing that
helped him keep it all togheter as he was growing up, and Riot's family moved to a new
town every year.
Riot's mother was supportive, she taught him to play the piano and bought Riot his first guitar.
Riot joined the army to get away from home.
Riot's first rockband was called "Nirvana". Before Riot joined, Minx was part of Nirvana,
aswell as three men, but not Rapture. Riot thought they were fantastic and he went to see
them whenever he had a pass. Riot started as a backup guitarist in Nirvana when another
bandmember was kicked out, but Riot was still in the army. This Nirvana predates the Nirvana
with Curt Cobain, and maybe they were an inspiration for their name?
Riot came up with his "Riot" nickname while on stage the first time that he played with Nirvana.
Riot went on tour with Nirvana all across Europe.
Riot was arrested by the MP when he left the army without permission. He was given a
dishonorable discharge. Riot's father thought Riot was a disgrace to the uniform
aswell as the country and Riot's parents.
Riot worked to get back to Europe and Nirvana.
The Stingers were formed when Riot left Nirvana and Minx came along, Rapture joined in
soon. They started by playing on the streets, and even slept on the streets.
Before the Stingers made it in the USA, they played in Germany, France, Italy, England
and Switzerland where they seemed to have some fans. They spent six months playing on
the sidewalks of Europe for pennies.
Madonna is mentioned in this episode.
The song "Take It Or Leave It" by the Stingers is re-used. Previously appeared in the episode
"The Stingers Hit Town Part 2".

he married Ba Nee's mother who died before reaching america, but before that
the name she gave for the father was Martin. Ba Nee's mother told Ba Nee that her father
had red hair.
After Ba Nee's parents married in vietnam in the middle of the war, Martin made his wife go away
to a safer place, and that was the last time they saw each other.
Ba Nee's father was a prisoner of war an was brought to the Veterans Administration
Hospital to recuperate. He was in bad shape and had amnesia.
Ba Nee's father Martin O'Carolan is a painter. He painted Ba Nee's mother by seeing her face in his
dreams.
This is the third appearance of Randy James, who only appeared in episodes by Christy Marx.
Pizzazz and Riot actually rehearse togheter at Stingers Sound.
Riots father was an officer in army intelligence.
The computer at the army says:

3: Hair color: Red
Some of the books in Ba Nee's bookshelf are "The Fox", "Pach Peach", "Omnibus", "Mimiko", "Popo",
"Autumn", "Spring", "The Fairies", "Robin Hood", "Sherlock Holmes".
The Misfits and Jem call a truce.
Rio has a singing line in the song "This Is Farewell" by Jem and the Holograms/
The Misfits/The Stingers.
The episode ends by Jem waving good bye. The people who made the cartoon knew it was the last
episode, and Christy Marx got to write the final episode, and she was saying good bye through
Ba Nee leaving.
The song "A Father Should Be" by Ba Nee is re-used. Previously appeared in the episode
"The Jem Jam Part 1".
