Fairytale characters

All of these characters are famous fairytales and mythological characters that originally derrive from somewhere else than the Jem cartoon. All of them are featured in music videos in the Jem series and not part of the story.

Fairytales

Some of these actually appeared in the story of an episode, where they were dressed out actors, as seen on the actors character page, but with the exact same look since the animators used the same model design when they appeared as fairytale characters in the music videos.

The Hatter

Based on a character that is apparently a crazy person, who's always having a tea party, with the March Hare.

Aladdin

Based on a character that finds a lamp with a magic genie inside, and tries to capture the love of a princess by becoming a prince, and fights against an evil sorcerer.

From the book "One Thousand and One Nights".

Based on a character that is a detective in London with amazing abilities to solve mysteries and crime.

Dr. John H. Watson

Based on a character that is a doctor and a friend and assistant of Sherlock Holmes'.

Robin Hood

Based on a character who is an outlaw and skilled archer, who has taken on the task to take from the rich and give to the poor, and is helped by his fellow outlaws, the Merry Men.

Originates from English folklores.

King Arthur

Based on a character who is a a British leader in the 5th and 6th centuries and perhaps even a king according to the legends, who defended Britain against Saxon invaders.

Greek mythological characters

These were all based on gods of Greek mythology and appeared in two music videos by Jem and the Holograms "Can't Get My Love Togheter" and "Midsummer Night's Madness". As Jem and the Holograms are in Greece, these gods represent what is going inbetween Jerrica/Riot/Jem/Rio/Minx.

Zeus

The father of all greek gods. Zeus is the son of Cronus and Rhea, and the youngest of his siblings. He rules the Olympians of Mount Olympus and oversees the universe. He is also the god of the sky, weather, lightning, law and order, and fate. He is married to Hera.

Aphrodite

She is the goddess of love, beauty and desire. She is married to Hephaestus.

In the music video "Midsummer Night's Madness" she brings Jerrica and Rio together.

Eros

The Greek god of love, and the son of Aphrodite, who shoots his arrows at people to make them fall in love.

Also known as "Cupid", in roman mythology.

Mentioned as "Cupid" in the lyrics of the song "Midsummer Night's Madness", and shoots arrows at Jerrica and Rio, and Jem and Riot Jem's in the music video "Can't Get My Love Togheter".

Satyrs

A couple of satyrs, which is a combination of goat and human, who live in the woods and mountains and often play pipes.

In the music video of "Midsummer Night's Madness", Aphrodite sends them to rescue Jerrica and Rio from Ares and Iris, and bring them back togheter.

Mercury

The god of trade, and messenger of the gods, with his winged sandals. He was also considered a god of abundance, commercial success, thieves, and travel.

Only seen standing on a cloud in the music video "Can't Get My Love Togheter".

Ares

The son of Zeus and Hera, is known as the god of war, manly courage, and civil order. He is one of the Twelve Olympians.

In the music video "Can't Get My Love Togheter" he appears, and in the same video Jem and Jerrica are seen fighting each other with swords, wearing costumes that resembles his. In the music video of "Midsummer Night's Madness" Riot is seen turning into him aswell.

Midas

A king of Phrygia with the power to turn anything he touches into gold. His touch is referred to as the Golden touch, or the Midas touch.

In the music video of "Midsummer Night's Madness" while reaching for Jerrica, he accidentally turns Medusa into gold, while being turned to stone by her at the same time.

Medusa

This third daughter of Phorcys and Ceto, is a chthonic monster that turns anyone who looks into her eyes to stone.

In the music video of "Midsummer Night's Madness" while reaching for Rio, she accidentally turns Midas into stone, while being turned to gold by Midas at the same time.

Iris

One of four daughters of Thaumas and Electra. She links the gods to humanity, and is the goddess of the rainbow, sea and sky who supplies the clouds with water. With her ewer of water from the River Styx, she puts all who swears a false oath to sleep.

In the music video "Midsummer Night's Madness" she tries to steal Rio away from Jerrica.
