When Hasbro introduced a line of dolls that were different in size from most on the market, it was a good idea to make their own line of doll fashions along with it. The first fashions were made in 1986, after the first Jem dolls, which is probably why some posters that came with the dolls has a white back instead of showing the fashions and playsets. The first year boxes of the fashions had artwork of the fashion, while the second year boxes had photographs. Some of the fashions were released both years. Many of the fashions were named after songs from the cartoon, and appeared in the cartoon. The On Stage, Smashin', and Rio fashions came on cards, while the Flip Side, Music Is Magic, and Glitter 'N Gold fashions came in boxes. All fashions had 1 JemStar point.

Flip Side Fashions, 1986:

"It's JEM's outrageous line of Flip Side Fashions!".

Fashions for Jem and Jerrica. Some of which are reversible, and some separate. In most of these, Jerrica has some kind of hat to cover the pink hair, aswell as glasses. But they share shoes. See the parenthesis for who wears what of Jem and Jerrica. Came in a box that included a folded first edition poster with first edition back, a MTV jacket offer insert, and dressing hints insert.
