Synopsis:
If the owner of the old Opera House can't afford the back taxes, it will most likely be torn down by the highest bidder. Rio suggest a Save the Opera House benefit concert by Jem and the Holograms with a Halloween theme. The Misfits plan to have their own Halloween concert called Midnight Madness, and along with a buyer of the Opera House, they plan to make sure Jem's benefit concert fails.

Rio is on the local board of the historical preservation league.

Terri hates Halloween, she is easily scared and superstitious, atleast until this episode. But she seems to still be as scared in the episode "The Stingers Hit Town Part 2" when Rapture scares her.

Jem and the Holograms are all big fans of the actor Frederick Vincent, and like his movies.

Frederick Vincent was based on Vincent Price (May 27, 1911 – October 25, 1993) a star of old horror movies.

None of Jem, Kimber, Aja and Shana appear in the entire music video "It's Fun To Be Scared", only Jerrica, and Raya only seen from behind.

Things have a tendency of falling over Danse. Like in the episode "Danse Time", a fake tree falls over her when she is practicing iceskating for Jem and the Holograms' music video.

Jem and the Holograms who don't know about Techrat, don't see him in this episode either, because he is dressed out as a ghost.

Frederick Vincent has a black cat called Phantom, as in "Phantom of the Opera" maybe.

Jem is dressed out as a witch, Shana as the devil, Kimber as a skeleton, Aja as the bride of Frankenstein and Raya as a mummy.

The song "We can change it" by Jem and the Holograms is re-used. Previously appeared in the episode "The Rock Fashion Book".
