Trivia:
This episode pre-dates Disney's movie Beauty and the Beast by several years.

There's a poster that says "A Jean Cocteau presentation, Beauty and the Beast".

Jerrica takes one hour to read the script sent by Red Johnny Mac, and then she says she thinks "we" should do it, without asking the Holograms or Jem.

When Red Johnny Mac kisses everyone's hands Rio says "I'm surprised he didn't kiss my hand". Rio later calls Mac a "little rat".

Eric is worried that Jem and the Holograms will be internationally famous, which suggests they aren't already.

Jem and the Holograms take some very funny pictures to promote the rock opera. One with mugs on their heads.

Instead of a rose, the father in the play steals an electric guitar.

The Holograms play the wicked sisters.

Usually it's Jerrica who has a secret identity as Jem, and Rio wondering who Jem really is. Now it's Jem wondering who the Beast really is, because she doesn't meet the actor who plays him until the end of the episode.

Rio is jealous of a character, the Beast. Jem even points this out to Rio.

Jem, in the role of Beauty, says to the Beast that she misses her boyfriend. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the original play she doesn't have a boyfriend.

We get to hear what I believe is a new male singing voice of the Beast.

Mac doesn't like the Misfits, neither does Harold.

Jem puts on a fashion which she never actually wore herself before, only Clash wore it when she was pretending to be Jem in the episode "On Jem Too Many".

Rio who is concerned for Jem after she passed out, screams angrily to Raya to "can it" when she seems concerned that they're going to miss their shows.

Roxy and Pizzazz are pretty bad actors, but then again they only had a short time to learn the script.

The way the Beast's mask comes off the actor in the song "Our Love Makes You Beautiful", seems hard to explain, it transforms bit by bit.

For once, the Misfits didn't have to screw things up for Jem, but were asked to replace Jem.
