These were made for the animators for reference, to make consistant animation cels of the
characters as far as faces, hairstyles, makeup, facial expressions, fashions, buildings,
vehicles, instruments and more. All of the model cels were numbered with the episode they
first appeared in 5205-01 until 5205-66. 5205 means it's part of Jem, and the number after
the hyphen tells
us what episode it was designed for. Each of these cels also had specific number, for
example "JR-16" means "Jerrica" and model number 16.
Shorts:
Jerrica = "JR".
Jem = "J".
Kimber = "K".
Aja = "A".
Shana = "SH".
Raya = "RY".
Rio = "Rio".
Pizzazz = "P".
Roxy = "R"/"RX".
Stormer = "ST".
Clash
Eric = "E"
Synergy
Rapture = "RAP".
Minx = "MX".
Video = "V".
Danse = "DS".
Astral = "Astral".
Regine = "REG".
However, before
the first five episodes were re-animated with some new scenes, they had the numbers
4041 until 4044 (and perhaps even 4045). And the practice of giving each model cel a
unique number had not necessarily began when the first five episodes were made, so those
fashions that later re-appeared in the series, didn't get a unique number until then,
and some were even re-designed after that.
If you have any model cels that aren't pictured here, you're more than welcome to share a
picture by mail!

Background characters
Some of these appeared in the episodes, and some were part of scenes that were cut out.
The episode numbers are a bit confusing since some are marked with two different episodes. Some
either appear in both of those episodes, some in one. And as for the ones not located in any,
I've listed them according to what seems to fit the story better.
Italian shoeclerk #4 / Reporter #2
Designed for the episode "In Stitches" where he is featured in the Misfits
music video "Designing Woman" as one of the italian shoeclerks.
Also marked with the episode number for
"Glitter And Gold" and "Reporter #2" where he appears early in the episode
asking the Misfits a question.
|
Crew technician / Studio tech
Designed for the episodes "The Music Awards" Part 1 and 2, and marked Crew technician.
Also listed for the episode "The Jem Jam Part 1" where he is listed as Studio tech.
|
Reporter #2
Designed for the episode "Island of Deception", but doesn't appear in the episode. Perhaps
there was a cut out scene with reporters, probably at the beginning or end. The writer has
mentioend there were cut out scenes in this episode.
|
Designed for the episode "Island Of Deception",
but doesn't seem to appear there. But he does resemble a
reporter from the episode "The Stingers Hit Town Part One", with that red tie with black
dots, the haircolor and the color of the jacket atleast.
|
Waiter #1 on Bermuda Queen
Designed for the episode "Island of Deception". I can't find this character in the episode.
|
S/A waiter #2
Designed for the episode "Island of Deception". Also listed for the episode "The Jem Jam Part 1"
as "Catering crew and waiters #1". I can't find this character in the episodes.
|
Elegantly dressed passengers #4
Designed for the episode "Island Of Deception". Might be a character that appears
right before the song "Set Your Sails".
|
S/A Elegantly dressed passenger / Caterer
Designed for the episode "Island Of Deception". Might be a character that appears
right before the song "Set Your Sails". Also listed for the episode "The Jem Jam Part 1".
|
Secuirty guard
Designed for the episode "Old Meets New", where he appears at the Beginning of the episode
at the Jem and the Holograms concert and outside their dressing room.
|
News photographer
Listed for the episode "Rock Fashion Book", but can't be seen there. Also listed for the
episode "The Jem Jam Part 1" in which he appears.
The same model design, as it appears, is used with different colors on a reporter already
in the episode "Starbright Part One: Falling Star". A third coloring of this model cel can be
seen in the episodes "Broadway Magic" and "The Talent Search Part 1".
|
Worker #2
Designed for the episode "Culture Clash", but doesn't seem to appear anywhere in there.
|
Camera Crew Member #4 Director
Designed for the episode "Culture Clash". He appears for a second or so after
Jem and the Holograms' boat accident.
|
Designed for the episode "Glitter And Gold", but doesn't seem to appear there.
But in the episode "That Old Houdini Magic" one of the guys who help Rapture perform her
act at the end, has the same hairstyle and shirt, but another haircolor.
