The magazine Cooltrash is mentioned.

Shana and Krissie are helping Video edit her videos. According to Video, she has a hard time keeping up with herself. She feels she has to make every clip better than the last one. That's what record companies, rock stars and the public expects.

As mentioned in the Jem bible, Aja has a very stubborn side. In this episode we get a taste of it when she insists not to let Sara join the tour. Although she has good reasons, of course, not to reveal Jem's secret identity.

Jem and the Holograms have a tourbus, which they take when they're going on tour, and Rio drives. There are only seats, no beds or anything.

Clash disguises herself again in this episode, with a new identity, Sara, and this time she gets very into it, as if it's another side of herself.

There is a gym at Starlight Mansion.

Jerrica calls Aja stubborn and unreasonable.

Clash is amazed that Jem looks great even at 5 am.

Aja is able to hear Synergy's voice through Jerrica's earring when Synergy is talking to Jerrica. So apparently Synergy can be heard by people standing close to Jerrica.

This is atleast the fourth time that Kimber's keyboard breaks. It also happens in the episodes "The Beginning", "The Bands Break Up", and "Rock N' Roll Express". Only one of the times she does it herself though.

There's a lion named "Simba", it is Swahili for "lion".

Clash is close to becoming a Misfit, but also an honorary Hologram.

Jetta gets her own dress in the same fashion that the Misfits has, which has appeared in several episodes before Jetta first appeared.

This is the third time that Jem and the Holograms are rescued by a helicopter, earlier times were in the episodes "Last Resorts" and "The Rock Fashion Book".

Jem wears a fashion that resembles a fashion from the "Like A Dream" music video from episode "Disaster". But now it's yellow instead of light blue to look more like the doll fashion.

The video Last Laugh has clips from several earlier episodes. "The Jem Jam Part 1", "Aztec Enchantment", "Last Resorts" and "Hot Time In Hawaii".

The song "Like A Dream" by Jem and the Holograms is re-used. Previously appeared in the episode "The Disaster".
